Awareness of not only what you'll be eating but why and in what quantity helps you understand how each day your body composition will be constantly changing for the better. Knowledge is the key to selecting your menu items and preparing each meal. 

As you go along food cravings and hunger pangs will change (as will your dining and drinking habits) yet with a wide assortment of approved foods you do not feel deprived from variation or frequency.  Virtually all patients experience a decreased urge for carbohydrates and sugar and alcohol.  This effect tends to linger well after the HCGPDX Program is over.

As the HCG diet is followed explicitly day after day weight loss of up to one pound a day is typical. Know that your body will be "drawing down" nutrients from the excess body weight being released. During initial consultations the entire HCG diet and the underlying process is explained in full and likely includes food choices such as:

  • Beef (grilled or baked flank filet, sirloin, ground beef, lean roast)
  • Chicken breast, veal
  • Buffalo
  • Fish (sea bass, flounder, halibut, sole)
  • Lobster, crab and shrimp
  • Breadsticks, grissini or melba toast
  • Apples, grapefruit, oranges, strawberries
  • Lettuce, spinach, cabbage, chard
  • Tomatoes, cucumbers, asparagus
  • Onions (white, yellow, red)
  • Beet greens, celery, fennel, radishes
  • Seasonings and most plain spices
  • Coffee or tea in any quantity
